NotesThis was a large many roomed hotel & public house in front of the feast ground. John Brooke of the White Hart Hotel was granted a charter to have horse fairs in 1577. They were common here until around 1900. Licensees 1853 – John Helliwell, 1905 Sam Waterhouse. Change of ownership document dated 26 November 1812.
